Hello, I’m Elly Afriani—an Indonesian tour guide based in the Netherlands, where I’ve lived for the past 19 years. My journey in tourism began with a deep love for storytelling, culture, and connecting people through travel. Since 2012, I’ve been writing Travel Diaries on my personal blog, ellyafriani.blog, sharing authentic experiences from both my guiding work and my own adventures around the world.

Living in the Netherlands has given me a unique perspective on its beauty, history, and everyday life. I specialize in guiding Indonesian travelers through cities and villages across the country—from iconic spots like Amsterdam and Keukenhof to hidden gems like Giethoorn and Zaanse Schans. I believe every place holds a story, and my role is to help you discover it.

My blog started as a personal space to document my experiences, and it eventually inspired the creation of IndoHolland Tours—a registered travel service with an official Kamer van Koophandel (Dutch Chamber of Commerce) number. Although IndoHolland Tours is no longer active, its spirit lives on through my writing and the connections I continue to build with travelers.

Through Travel Diaries, I share not only local insights from the Netherlands but also stories from my journeys across the globe. From tasting street food in Asia to exploring historical sites in Europe, I write with honesty, curiosity, and warmth—hoping to inspire others to see the world through a more human lens.

For me, travel is not just about destinations—it’s about the people we meet, the cultures we embrace, and the memories we create. My blog is a space to reflect, connect, and celebrate those moments.
